    Katie's hard skills and experience in business and strategy give her an edge in the marketplace, but it's her enjoyment of working with clients (friends!) - helping them to realize their dreams - that drives her. This is the common theme that ties together her many interests and projects.

     

    As a real estate agent, Katie listens, learns, and then creates an approach that is customized to each client whether they are buying, selling, or investing. She works to make what can be a stressful process as smooth as possible, making sure that her client's needs are met.

     

    As the owner of Biker Barre, an award winning fitness boutique in Capitol Hill, Katie is proud of the community she's built. Biker Barre was the first indoor cycling studio in DC and among the first barre studios. It's a special place where anyone is welcome and positive change is always happening.

     

    Hard skills

    Katie's professional background is in digital marketing and advertising, specifically brand strategy. She has worked for clients such as Bank of America, Procter & Gamble, and Volkswagen Group of America.

     

    In 2010 Katie decided to break away from her career of more than a decade in order to found Biker Barre. The result was a resounding success and soon the business was more or less running itself. As a result, in 2014 Katie sought a new challenge. She got her real estate license because she had the time and interest, but did not initially plan to pursue real estate professionally. It was only after buying her own home that Katie realized her passion for the business. Four years later, Katie has grown her real estate business substantially, becoming a top performing agent by bringing her unique background to bear.

     

    Katie holds an MBA from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and has served as the President of the Ross School of Business Alumni Club of Washington. Katie lives in an adorable bungalow in Hyattsville, MD with her husband Andrew, daughter Genevieve, and pup Harley.
