    Entrepreneur and Real Estate Agent

    Katie Geffken works hard for her clients, guiding them to make the best possible real estate decisions and helping their process to be smooth, easy, and fun.


    Relying on her background in marketing strategy and small business ownership, Katie is practiced at dealing with (and making the most of!) the types of tough decisions that often come up during the real estate buying and selling process.


    Katie owns Biker Barre, a boutique fitness studio on Capitol Hill offering indoor cycling and barre classes. As a small business owner on Capitol Hill, Katie is particularly aware of many of the trends affecting real estate in that area of Washington.


    In addition to the Hill, Katie has become expert in working with first time home buyers - guiding them through the process, and helping them to find homes and neighborhoods that meet their needs. Katie began her real estate career searching for her own first home with her husband, Andrew. Katie and Andrew got creative about buying their first home; discovering neighborhoods where they could have it all and a fraction of the cost of renting.


    Prior to owning Biker Barre, Katie worked in marketing strategy and advertising. She brings the skills she learned working for international brands to bear for her listing clients, creating customized marketing plans that make sense for each unique property and client. Katie's listings have been featured in the Washington Post and Prince of Petworth blog.


    A graduate of the University of Michigan twice over (undergrad and business school), Katie serves as the Co-President of the Ross School of Business Alumni Club of Washington. Katie and her husband Andrew live in beautiful Hyattsville, MD.
